Elena Fomina is an entrance to the world of bold design, fresh aesthetic and travel inspirations. Our custom jewelry is crafted by hand in and around New York. We only use quality materials, such as semi-precious stones, Swarovski elements, and durable metals. To assure longevity of metal finish on our pieces, the jewelry is plated locally on a custom basis.
The Elena Fomina team strongly believes in giving back. As a special bonus, your every purchase benefits animals in need across the globe as we donate a portion of our revenue to a variety of animal welfare groups, organizations and individuals.
Elena Fomina-Singleterry launched her namesake brand in New York after receiving a great feedback on her handcrafted designs from fashion industry professionals, such as editors at Elle, Teen Vogue, Allure and Jane magazines who requested her work for photo shoots, as well as accessory buyers at the country’s leading retailers.
A linguist by education, the Russian-born designer was introduced to jewelry design in 2005 when she started working for a New York City based jewelry supplies company that specialized in semi-precious stones. Struck by endless beauty, colors and patterns of these materials, Elena immediately started making unique eclectic pieces. Using crystals and rhinestones to accentuate the patterns of natural gems quickly became one of the defining features of the aspiring designer’s aesthetic. Soon New York and Boston boutiques started placing orders for her bespoke pieces and selling out of them – this was when Elena knew it was time to launch her brand officially.
The designer derives inspiration for her work from the world around her, be it the elegantly bold street fashions, a shape of a musical instrument, or a stunning visual in the nature. One of the main sources of inspiration are genuine stones themselves – oftentimes a design or an entire collection is built around their unique visual properties.
Elena is an avid traveler and names such destinations as Paris , Murano Island and London as some of her creative muses.
